In a world where conversations around mental wellness are growing louder every day, teachers and educators are often forgotten. Many are expected to stay strong, composed, and resilient no matter what they face. But behind the classrooms, lesson plans, and daily interactions with hundreds of students are human beings who also get tired, overwhelmed, stressed, and emotionally drained.Teachers need support too. They need care, appreciation, safe spaces, and people who genuinely check in on them. Sometimes, something as simple as a conversation, a cup of coffee, flowers, or words of encouragement can go a long way. In this heartfelt episode of Familia Mtaani Podcast, we sit down with Nancy Wanjiru, the Lead of the E-Msingi Psychosocial Pillar, an initiative championing the mental wellness of teachers and educators. Together, we explore the hidden emotional realities teachers face, the pressures and expectations placed on them by society, signs that an educator may be silently struggling, and practical ways we can better support and appreciate them. This is a conversation every parent, student, educator, and community member needs to hear. 🎙️✨Listen, share, and join the conversation.
